The Aims and Objectives of the Pony Club are:
- To encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horse and riding.
- To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instil in members the proper care of their animals.
- To promote the highest ideals in sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self- discipline.

For the past ten years Gidgegannup Horse and Pony Club has held a One Day Event at their grounds which has evolved, with the help of some wonderful sponsors and a dedicated committee into The Gidgegannup CNC**, an exciting equestrian event which attracts around 250 riders and 1000 followers and spectators, from around the state.
The Gidgegannup CNC** is an equestrian competition which consists of a dressage test, a showjumping round and a cross country phase, ridden over two days.
