Experience Gidgegannup · Members' Achievements

Jan Pittman, Gidgegannup's well-known local artist, was delighted to be approached by the Premier's Department recently with a request to use the image of one of her paintings (Nuytsia floribunda) on the Premier's 2010 Christmas cards. She was happy to give her permission for Colin Barnett to use the image, and is acknowledged as the artist on the back of the card. Jan would like to thank Angie Whife and Michelle Zimmel for providing the flowers for her to paint, Remy Maassen for his work in putting the image on Jan's website, which is linked to the Community website and Sandra Harms for her help in scanning and sending the image to the Premier's Office. Well done Jan.

Congratulations also to Penny Morgan of Felicity’s Garden on her National Award from the Australian Olive Association of a Bronze medal.

And yet more talented producers, Kay and John Leevers of Hampton Estate who won Gold and Silver at the Perth Royal Show for their Olive Oil – their wine is pretty good as well.

All these talented people and more at the Gidge Show.
