29/01/2008 · Cricket Club · Update
Gidge Cricket Club continues its run of good form with five wins from the last six regular fixtures, including two centurions - S Jacobs 115 v Linley Valley and M Kelly 100 retired v Eastern Hills. Success from bowlers - S. Jacobs 5/41 v Eastern Hills and J Harvey 5/40 v Linley Valley.
All of these recent wins have been particularly encouraging as the team has been fielding only 9 or 10 players in most games so are still looking for team members to come on board and help us attain finals success in 07/08.
Fixtures in January are a series of 20/20s. For more information contact Dave on 9574 6540
The Club would like to thank the following sponsors for last season's awards:

- Smith Marlow Pty Ltd. for best bowling average - won by Shaun Jacobs
- Judy Fletcher Real Estate for best Fieldsman - won by Shaun Jacobs

A diverse range of films on offer again and if you are a Beatles fan, do not miss Across The Universe... no less than 30 Beatles songs are woven into the film... is brilliant.
If the film The White Planet looks as good as the trailer does, that one is another not to be missed... stunning photography of the Arctic Circle area.
Trust you find something in this our second last list for Season 12 that suits your taste/s.
Regards, Lindsay at Kookaburra
