Touch started in Australia in the early 1960s as a social or "park" game and as a training technique for Rugby League.
Distinctive features of Touch include the ease of learning and the ability to play it without fear of major injury
because the ball carrier is touched rather than tackled.
Touch Football is a field sport also known as Touch, Touch Rugby or Six Down.
Other variations include Oz-Tag.
