The Committee is a sub committee of the Gidgegannup Progress Association and formed originally at the request of Frank Alban MLA for the community to meet with Main Roads to determine the best way to upgrade the Toodyay Road to make it safer for all users and for those who live and do business on the road.
This was in response to the tragic deaths on the 31st July, 2013 of Jess, Jayden and Cody in a road accident in proximity to the Noble Falls Tavern. A public meeting was subsequently held in early August,
attended by about 300 people, mainly from the communities of Gidgegannup, Morangup and Toodyay.
The first meeting of the Committee was held in September and subsequently in November, December and January.
