Following the clear directive given at the Prime Minister’s press conference on Tuesday that the ban on gatherings over 500 people would be in place for the next six months, we have no choice but to cancel the Field Day. The Field Day Committee regret this but fully support the Government in their efforts to keep the community safe.

Thanks to all those who were going to be involved this year and we hope you will be at our 2021 Field Day to be held on Sunday, 30th May, 2021

Thank you to all our exhibitors who have sent their applications in and we hope to see you next year. Those exhibitors who have already paid for their site please forward me your banking details so we can eftpos a refund.

As you are all aware the Government has declared a ban on all gatherings over 500 people. This could mean that the Field Day will not go ahead this year. This situation appears to be being reviewed weekly so we do have a breathing space. The Field Day committee will review the situation at the beginning of April and we can activate the Field Day if the ban is lifted by the end of April. Should the Field Day not go ahead we will refund all exhibitors’ fees paid in full.

We support the Government’s ban along with other measures that are being taken, and congratulate them on taking this step so swiftly. This is the only way to protect Australia and its people.

A fun and educational day out, only 20 minutes from Midland. Your ticket entry includes lots of hands-on activities for the kids. Keynote guest speakers on farming, animal breeding, poultry care, fruit and vegetable growing and preparing the food you grow. The Field Day also hosts the Swan Valley Slow Food Long Table Lunch, The Honey Festival and the Alpaca Expo. Free parking. Sorry, but due to shire regulations no dogs are admitted, unless care dogs.

The next “Countryman Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day” will be held at the Gidgegannup Showgrounds on Sunday 24 May 2020.
